God loves you!  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

God loves you so much that He died for you.  “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) 

God died for you to pay the penalty for sin, which is death, and to purchase the gift of God, which is eternal life.  “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) 
This death not only includes the death of the body, but also a second death of the soul.  “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:14-15)

This penalty for sin is imposed upon all men, because all have sinned.  “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

There is nothing that you and I can do to pay for our own sins, or to earn our way into heaven.  “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8&9) 
If we want to get to heaven we must call upon Jesus, who paid for our sins, and we must trust Him with all our heart.  "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:9-13) 

Trust the Lord Jesus Christ today as your own personal Savior! To do so, simply call upon Him. Tell Him something like this: “Dear Lord I want to receive you right now as my Lord and Savior. I confess to you that I am a sinner, and I need you, because there is no way for me to take care of my own sins. Please forgive me of my sins and wash my sins away. In Jesus Name Amen.” 

If you prayed that prayer, or a prayer like it, and you meant it with all your heart, then you have God’s promise of salvation and you are now on your way to Heaven.  “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (I John 5:13)
